Centre for International Business
The Centre for International Business (CIB) is part of the Faculty of Social Sciences. Its research is leading in the area of internationalization of firms from emerging economies. The Centre has been globally active in teaching, research and collaboration with business since 1984 when it launched its unique MSc program in International Business with a strong focus on cultural diversity and problem-based learning. In collaboration with leading Danish companies such as Grundfos and Vestas, CIB has organized conferences and workshops bringing together IB scholars and managers of leading Danish MNCs.
Conference Co-Chairs:
Professor Olav Jull Sørensen is leading the research activities and industry-university partnerships at the Centre for International Business of Aalborg University. He is a leading expert in the Sino-Danish Partnership and works closely with universities in China, Vietnam, Ghana and Tanzania. He has co-edited books on internationalization, leadership and creativity, and internationalization of SMEs.
Associate Professor Dr. Svetla Marinova has academic and consulting experience in firm internationalization and institutional development in Europe and emerging economies. She has co-authored the first European edition of an international business textbook and co-edited several books on foreign direct investment in CEE, the changing nature of business in transition economies, and on the internationalization of emerging economies and firms.
